Chester Ambulance Service seeks drivers, medical providers

Members of the Chester Ambulance Service.

Members of the Chester Ambulance Service.

The Chester Ambulance Service is seeking new members to join its much-needed team of quality emergency medical providers and drivers.  No experience is necessary. Training is provided. For those not wanting medical licensure, the ambulance service is also accepting drivers.

To fill either position, you must be at least 18 years of age, be physically fit, have the ability to remain calm in emergencies and be reliable. Ambulance drivers need to hold a valid driver’s license with a good record. You will be trained in CPR and be required to assist the medical crews as requested.

For those interested in becoming emergency medical providers, entry level Emergency Medical Responder and Emergency Medical Technician courses are offered in the area. Assistance will be provided to find the right program.

CAS especially needs drivers and emergency medical personnel who have the ability to be on-call from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. two times a week and those who may be regularly available during daytime hours Monday through Friday.

Members of CAS are local people from all walks of life who are ready to help their neighbors at any time. For more information, contact Dan Cook at 802-875-3134 and leave a message or dcookemti@comcast.net
