Springfield S.B. member becomes Londonderry Town Administrator

The Town of Londonderry has announced that Stephanie Thompson will be replacing Kevin Beattie who served as Londonderry’s first Town Administrator from 2011 through 2015.

Thompson is a resident of Springfield where she serves on the Springfield Select Board and is also active in the community. She is participating in the Vermont Leadership Institute Program through the Snelling Center for Government, and is also completing a master’s degree in Public Administration at Norwich University.

The Select Board thanks Beattie for his years of service as Select Board member and as the first Town Administrator. He has worked on town projects including FEMA buyouts related to tropical storm Irene. Beattie will continue as Emergency Management director for Londonderry, as well as remaining active with the Londonderry Volunteer Rescue Squad and Champion Fire Co.

Thompson will be transitioning with Beattie and the Londonderry Select Board during October and will be establishing a regular schedule in early November.
