To the editor: Bock well-qualified to serve in State House

Letters to the editor logoMy wife Nancy and I moved to Chester in 2013 from a town of similar size in northwest Connecticut. What we noticed right away was the people. They acted like they want to live here, raise their children here and stay here.  Tom Bock stood out. He wanted us to feel this enthusiasm, too.

That’s why we endorse him for a seat in the Vermont House of Representatives.

Later we learned how qualified Tom is for this position. Currently he is chairman of both the Chester Planning Commission andof the Southern Windsor Planning Commission. In business he managed the operations of Readex/Newsbank and ran a small business.

Tom and his wife Mariette raised their family here. He is aware of our problems with schools, taxes, affordable health care and drugs. He recognizes the need to form  government/business/individual partnerships and the need to preserve our Vermont heritage. Tom’s record and convictions show he knows how to get things done.

We urge a vote or before Aug. 9 to send Tom Bock to the Vermont House of Representatives.
