New Voices at Misty Valley Books

Misty Valley Books presents its 18th Annual New Voices Authors Weekend on Saturday, Jan. 28.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., everyone is invited to go cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing with the authors at the Grafton Ponds (843-2231)

2 p.m., join the authors for their readings and a reception. This year, to be held at the Vermont Institute of Contemporary Art, 15 Depot St.  (875-1018)

5:45 p.m., continue speaking with the authors during a wine and cheese event in front of the fire at the Fullerton Inn, (cash  bar)

And at 6:30 p.m., sit down with the authors to enjoy a wonderful dinner at the Fullerton Inn. Please call 875-2444 for reservations.

This year’s authors and their books are:  Betty Shotton, Liftoff Leadership: 10 Principles for Exceptional Leadership; Christopher Boucher, How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive; Katharine Britton, Her Sister’s Shadow; Naomi Benaron, Running the Rift, and Paul Grossman, The Sleepwalkers.

About the Author: Cynthia Prairie has been a newspaper editor more than 40 years. Cynthia has worked at such publications as the Raleigh Times, the Baltimore News American, the Buffalo Courier Express, the Chicago Sun-Times and the Patuxent Publishing chain of community newspapers in Maryland, and has won numerous state awards for her reporting.
