April Jobs Fair seeks employers, workers

Springfield, VT – The River Valley Workforce Investment Board will be hosting the first River Valley Employment Fair from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, River Valley Technical Center at the Howard Dean Education Center, 307 South St. in Springfield.

Fair organizers are actively looking for local employers with job opportunities, especially those who gear up in the spring and summer. Employers or resource organizations interested in participating should contact fair coordinator Jaynie Smith at 802-591-0163 or at JESconsultingVT@hotmail.com.

The event is aimed at connecting local job seekers with seasonal and permanent jobs in the area and to showcase resources and training programs that will help job seekers attain employment. There is no fee for employers or jobseekers to participate.

The fair is a joint effort among the River Valley Workforce Investment Board, the Vermont Department of Labor, the Vermont Student Assistance Corp. and the River Valley Technical Center.

The River Valley WIB serves the towns of Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Grafton, Landgrove, Londonderry, Ludlow, Plymouth, Reading, Rockingham, Springfield, Weathersfield, West Windsor, Weston, Windsor, Windham and surrounding communities.
