People’s Bank awards Chester-Andover Family Center $500

People’s United Bank announced today that they have made a $500 donation to the Chester-Andover Family Center The funding will be used to provide more then 60 monthly food packages to families and individuals in need. In addition, the funding will support programs that provide financial assistance for utilities, rent and transportation.
“We are pleased to provide this donation to the Chester-Andover Family Center,” said Barb LeMire, financial service manager and market manager for People’s United Bank. “The Chester-Andover Family Center is a great resource in our community for those in need. The Center provides a hand up, rather than a hand out. They are an organization that helps people help themselves and we are fortunate to have them in our community.”
People’s United Bank, founded in 1842, is the largest independent bank headquartered in New England and provides commercial and retail banking, as well as wealth management services through a network of about 419 branches in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, New Hampshire and Maine.
