Chester Rec Dept. holds baseball camp, softball clinic

The Chester Recreation Department is accepting registrations for two March programs. Both will take place at Green Mountain High School, 716 VT Rte. 103 S.
The Green Mountain Softball Clinic will be 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday and Sunday March 9–10. Run by GM varsity baseball coach Terry Farrell, the clinic is recommended for children ages 8 through junior high and will stress softball skills, including hitting, pitching and fielding. Camp fee is $25. Campers are advised to bring a drink and a snack.
On the following weekend, the annual Black Fly Baseball Camp will be held 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, March 16–17. The camp is for children ages 8–12 years old to learn the fundamentals of hitting, pitching and fielding. GM varsity baseball coach Eric Anderson will return to run this popular program. Camp fee is $50. Campers are advised to bring a snack, lunch and a drink.
