Work got under way in early August for the new toddler playground at the Pinnacle on Lovers Lane. Grass and stones were removed and the area behind the tennis courts and north of the pavilion was leveled. The playset also was delivered. It sits wrapped in pieces./ Photos by Cynthia Prairie
The future of the playset was thrown into doubt during a Select Board meeting in June, when Select Board member Derek Suursoo wanted to cut the town’s already agreed upon financial match. Other members affirmed the original match, resolving the issue and allowing construction to go ahead.
Then, the only delays would be the weather. But the playset was constructed and mulch was laid to soften the surface.
Add kids, from left, Dylan, Kaiden and Skyler, and you have a playset!
