Volunteers raise funds and touch hearts for cancer
Press release | Dec 29, 2013 | Comments 0
Hearts of Hope 2013, a project of the Springfield Hospital volunteers, was a way to remember loved ones, friends, co-workers or someone battling cancer. For contributions of $10 or more, a personalized hand-made ornament was placed on a holiday tree at the hospital.
The tree, decorated with more than 200 handmade ornaments, raised almost $5,000 toward the purchase of items for the support and comfort of patients at the hospital’s Oncology Clinic. For more information contact Sandy Peplau, coordinator of the Volunteer Services Program at 802-885-7686.
