Eight CCV centers to host college FAFSA assistance

Vermont Student Assistance Corp. counselors and college aid professionals will be available from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 15 at eight Community College of Vermont centers across the state to help with filing online FAFSA – the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid — and Vermont grant applications.

The CCV centers and their addresses that are open for this free event are:

  • 1 Abenaki Way in Winooski;
  • 1197 Main St. Suite 3 in St. Johnsbury;
  • 142 S. Main St. in St. Albans;
  • 60 West St. in Rutland;
  • 660 Elm St. in Montpelier;
  • 10 Merchants Row Suite 223 in Middlebury; and
  • 70 Landmark Hill #101 in Brattleboro.

Students and parents should bring the following (students born before 1/1/91 do not need to bring parent information):

  1. Social Security Number
  2. Most recent federal tax return
  3. Most recent W-2 or year-end pay stub
  4. Untaxed income records
  5. Bank statement(s)
  6. Business and investment records
  7. Home equity and farm equity information
  8. Alien Registration Card (if not a U.S. Citizen)
