Londonderry extends hours for tax payments, offers e-payment options

Tina Labeau, treasurer for the Town of Londonderry, says that the Londonderry Town Office, located on School Street in South Londonderry, will be open extended hours next week to accept tax payments.

Its usual hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

For property tax week, it will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 29 through Oct. 1.

Also, the Town of Londonderry is now accepting new forms of payment for property taxes. According to its website, Londonderry residents can now pay property taxes by credit card or echeck/savings account through Xpress-pay. The cost to the billpayer using a credit card will be 2.85 percent of the transaction plus .28 cents. Those paying by echeck/savings account will have a flat of $2.50.

Click here for the Xpress-pay link. You’ll need to fill our your Name, Parcel ID, Street name and amount of taxes, all of which can be found on your property tax bill.

If you have questions, please call the Town Office at 802-824-3356 or email Labeau at assisttreasurerlondontown@gmail.com.

OMG didn’t I just ask why Chester does not have credit/debit payments? Imagine e-payments. Wow, who would know that this was possible in a small town. And amazing, they stay open later for tax payments to accommodate those who might work 9-5pm and don’t want to part with their money one second sooner. I asked if our town would be open later and was told well not likely. If no one comes before we close someone might be here but not planned.
