Whiting Library offers downloadable audiobooks through listenupvermont.org

Don’t get cabin fever or stuck without some literary entertainment. Whiting Library is now offering access to more than 1,000 downloadable audiobooks and ebooks free of charge to library patrons through a subscription to the Vermont Green Mountain Consortium.
Come to the library or call for more information or try it on your own. Go to listenupvermont.org and take the digital media guided tour.
Browse the quick start, download a little software and make your selections. All you need to download either an audiobook or ebook is a library card and a compatible portable device such as a Kindle, an iPad or another portable device or a compatible computer program.
You have up to two weeks for each title with no overdue fees since they automatically expire. High demand items may be placed on reserve. Some titles are always available, no waiting. Whiting Library. 117 Main St. in Chester, is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
