At the seven local SMCS Community Health Center locations, patients access primary and preventive health care, dental, and mental health services, regardless of their ability to pay.

Springfield Hospital and Springfield Medical Care Systems kicked off their Annual Giving campaign. The goal of this year’s campaign is to increase capacity so patients can have increased access to health care.

“For more than 100 years,” said development director Larry Kraft, “Springfield Hospital has put the community first as people have come seeking help and receiving care. For the past several years, the hospital has been connected to the SMCS Community Health Center network. Together, the hospital and the health centers work to achieve the goal of healthy people and healthy communities.”

With the help of this campaign, SMCS will improve the facilities at its Community Health Centers. These efforts will expand the services that are provided and increase access to these services.
