To the editor: Former Rep. Pellett endorses Chase for Chester Select Board
The Chester Telegraph | Feb 16, 2015 | Comments 0
It is with great pleasure that I endorse Heather Chase for a three-year term on Chester’s Select Board. I’ve known Heather for more than 10 years, having met her during my first term as state representative. What impressed me then – and continues to this day – is Heather’s passion – and it shows in everything she does. She’s passionate about her family, her work, our schools, our businesses, our roads, town employees, town government – everything Chester.
Heather puts her passion into play as she speaks with residents and business owners, listening to their concerns. She is passionate about making Chester an even better place to live, work and play. If elected, she will be just as passionate in her work in town government as she is in her personal life – and that’s a very good thing for every resident and business owner in Chester.
Heather is dedicated to openness in town government and getting more people to participate. She’s demonstrated her commitment by attending Select Board meetings where she can learn first hand about issues in town, thus enabling her to be an informed citizen. And, when necessary, she’s up to the challenge of assertively engaging the appropriate people in a respectful exchange on important issues.
Heather will bring a new perspective and a new voice to town government. She’ll bring her passion to every meeting, encouraging community participation. We will be the beneficiaries of Heather’s enthusiasm, energy and passion for Chester. I urge all my fellow citizens to join me on Tuesday, March 3 in voting for Heather Chase for Chester’s Select Board.
