Grab those green bags and get ready for Green Up Day

Vermont’s Green Up Day is Saturday, May 2, when it will be celebrating its 45th  anniversary.

GreenupdaylogoThe town of Chester and the Chester Conservation Committee will be supporting Green Up Day by coordinating efforts, distributing Green Up bags, picking up large loads of trash and putting a dumpster at the Town Garage.

Volunteers are encouraged to pick up trash along roadways in their areas anytime this spring. Green Up bags will be available the week of April 27 at the Chester Town Hall, 556 Elm St., Chester-Andover Elementary School, 72 Main St. in Chester, and the Chester Hardware store, 21 Main St. The dumpster will be at the Town Garage on Depot Street by Thursday, April 30.
