St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 313 Main St. in Chester, is offering two opportunities to bring pets for a special blessing on the side lawn at St. Luke’s at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 and at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4.
The church’s school children will be making biscuits for pets and cookies for their owners. All pets and their owners in the surrounding communities are invited to participate in this service to honor and give thanks for the special role pets play in our daily lives.
In addition to receiving a blessing, the Rev. Heidi L. Edson, each pet will also receive a St. Francis pet medallion. In the event of rain, the blessing will be held in Willard Hall. Edson’s cat Thundarr welcomes cats and dogs alike.
