Telegraph donates $300 to Rotary from inaugural ad program
The Chester Telegraph | Oct 07, 2015 | Comments 1
The Rotary and The Telegraph had teamed up to promote the 2015 Fall Festival by creating a page within the paper with complete information about the September event that included special events listings, a map of the town, a complete vendor list and more.
The Telegraph then sold advertising into that page and gave 20 percent of the ad revenue to the Rotary. Prairie told Davis that she couldn’t bear to hand over a check for $281.40 so she was happy to round it up “just to make it even.”
The page was promoted for three weeks on Facebook and in The Telegraph’s weekly news alert.
This was the launch of what The Chester Telegraph is calling its “Real Well-Wishers” ad program.
The businesses that helped to support the Rotary through their advertising on the Fall Festival page are: Chester Flowers, Chester Hardware, Chester Plumbing and Heating, Country on the Common, Country Treasures, Crow Hill Gallery, Crown Point Builders, Erskine’s Grain and Supplies, Grandma Miller’s Pies and Pastries, Green Mountain Flyer, Jersey Girls Farm Store, Misty Valley Books, Mitch’s Maples, NewsBank Print Shop, Sage Jewelry and Salon 2000.
