The Vermont State Police in Rockingham are reporting that Route 103 is temporarily shut down to through traffic from the Vermont Agency of Transportation garage at 991 Rockingham Road in Rockingham to the intersection of Route 103 and Route 11 in Chester due to a motor vehicle collision on Route 103 south of Green Mountain Union High School in Chester.

At around 11 a.m., VSP announced that the road was reopened.

According to early reports, the accident occurred in front of the Chester-Andover Family Center between a Town of Chester dump truck and a mini-van.  State Police said there were some minor injuries. The town employee was not injured.

Specific details are not yet available and motorists are urged to seek alternate routes. There is no estimate at this time when Route 103 will be opened to through traffic.
