Discover distant planets at SoVerA meeting

At its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m., the Southern Vermont Astronomy Group will present a talk titled “Extrasolar Planets: How are they found and how many are like Earth?” An “exoplanet” is a planet that orbits distant stars, the closest being about four light years away.The meeting will be held in the Ski School room at the east end of the Lodge at Magic Mountain in Londonderry. There is no charge and the public is welcome to attend. Star charts for the month of November will be available and if the sky is clear there will be observing after the meeting.
