SBA women’s business pitch contest set for Burlington
Press release | Nov 16, 2015 | Comments 0
InnovateHER, a program co-sponsored by the Small Business Administration, is aimed at unearthing products and services that empower women and families through local business competitions that culminate in a live pitch in Washington, D.C. Mercy Connections is hosting a competition from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 255 South Champlain St. #8 in Burlington.
InnovateHER is a new type of pitch event. Instead of a competition that features one-way, high-test presentations in a competitive environment, the event will give entrepreneurs real-time, strategic feedback and support from expert panelists.
The entrepreneurial “pitchers” will be limited to 10. The deadline to submit your business plan package is Wednesday, Nov. 18. To register, contact Gwen Pokalo, director of the Women’s Small Business Program at gpokalo@mercyconnections.org or call 802-846-7338.
