Beverly (Sheldon) Leach, 78, avid reader who loved her family

Beverly Ann (Sheldon) Leach, 78, of Warren, Penn., died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at Golden Living – Kinzua Valley of Warren. She and her family lived in Chester from 1979 to 1987. Beverly (Sheldon) Leach

Mrs. Leach was born Dec. 1, 1936 in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Walter and Violet (Beightol) Sweatman.
She enjoyed reading, her cats, and especially her family.

She is survived by three daughters: Gayle Hayes of Dunkirk, N.Y., Lisa Sheldon and partner Fred Hale, of Chester, Vt., and Melinda Piasecki  and husband Mark, of Neenah, Wisc.;  son Richard Cooley and wife Lori, of Wilkes-Barre, Penn.; six sisters: Laura Holt, Karen Downs, Ruth Anne Doupe, Doris Hunter, Georgia John and Lucinda Atkins; three brothers:  Arthur Sweatman, W. William Sweatman Jr., and David Sweatman; grandchildren,  Leanna Snyder and husband Sean of Chester, Vt.; R.J. Cooley of Wilkes Barre, Penn.; Fallon Cooley of Fredonia, N.Y.; Tess Piasecki of  Neenah, Wisc.; and Benjamin Hale of Chester, Vt.; great grandson Ian Snyder and twin great granddaughters Nadiya and Aveya Ingram; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on Jan. 2, 2009, by her husband, Wallace E. Leach, whom she married on May 1, 1998; and a daughter, Kathi Jo Sheldon in 1979, and two grandsons, Dylan Salo in 1991 and Daniel Piasecki in 2006.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Warren with the Rev. Chip Northup officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 445 Conewango Ave., Warren, Penn., 16365 or to a charity of choice.
