Burglary suspect arrested in Londonderry

Shortly after midnight on Saturday, Dec. 5, the Vermont State Police arrested Travis Despain, 24, of Londonderry at a residence in South Londonderry. Despain was wanted on an warrant for a charge of burglary at Coleman’s Auto Repair in Rawsonville on Oct. 10.
In addition to the burglary warrant, Despain was also wanted on a Nov. 12 warrant for failure to appear in Windham Superior Court in connection with the June 1 burglary of the New American Grill in Londonderry.
According to police, Despain attempted to flee through the back door of the house, but he was taken into custody without further incident. He is being held at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield on $1,000 bail.
Despain will be arraigned at 12:30 p.m. on Monday Dec.7 in Windham County Superior Court.
