Time is running out to see the Christmas village constructed by Ken Barrett at Chester Town Hall.

Town Clerk  Deb Aldrich kept her office open until 7 last night and Ken and Shirley Barrett were on hand to welcome visitors.

At one point there 15 visitors crowded the  office (not including Aldrich and the Barretts) oooing and ahhing and pointing to the many amusing  and amazing details in the display.

With thousands of ornaments, lights and moving scenes, the display can be visited until New Year’s Eve. It takes about a week to put the display up but less time to take down, noted Shirley Barrett. Dismantling will begin on the weekend after New Year’s Day.
