Police seek suspect in Ludlow bank robbery

Vermont State Police are looking for a suspect in the robbery of the Heritage Family Credit Union in Ludlow on Monday, Dec. 21.

Just before 4 p.m. yesterday, State and Ludlow police responded to the credit union at 198 Main St. in Ludlow for a reported bank robbery.  Based on the security camera video and statements from witnesses police believe the suspect to be Matthew T. Martin, 31.  Martin’s location is unknown, but there are active arrests warrants for him in Vermont and New Hampshire in relation to armed robberies.

According to police reports, a robber used a black handgun in the crime and was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money. Police do not know which direction the robber fled or whether or not he escaped in a vehicle.
