Police tell a real life Grinch story in Pittsford

Vermont State Police press releases are often dry affairs filled with acronyms and legal speak, but a burglary last night in Pittsford got the following (completely appropriate) treatment from Trooper Kaitlyn Armstrong.
DATE/TIME: December 24, 2015
LOCATION: Arch Street, Pittsford
VIOLATION: Burglary
ACCUSED: UNKNOWN (Grinch)
VICTIM: Apx. 30 elderly residents at the National Church Residences Village Manor
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Vermont State Police are requesting assistance in any information regarding the theft of food and walkers from the adult living community. Residents at the National Church Residences Village Manor woke this morning to a visit from the Grinch last night. Missing from the Community Room and kitchen are the following items:
Christmas Cookies, tossed salad, frozen chicken, several turkeys, loaves of bread (frozen), hot dog rolls, dinner rolls, canned vegetables, 10 lbs of potatoes, Christmas Cd’s, puzzles, their TV and stereo and 10 walkers all had been stolen!
Unfortunately for you Mr. Grinch, Christmas has been saved by the AMAZING community has gathered so much food they are covered for a feast today and probably for the next week! Dinner is back on for 12:30 today.
