Serious accident closes Route 4 near Killington

Vermont State Police are reporting that Route 4 in Killington (east of Sherburne Pass, west of Killington Access Road) is closed due to a serious motor vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer.

VTrans is assisting with the road closure and is re-directing traffic.  Police say that the road will be closed for an extended time to conduct an investigation.

State police in Rutland are asking drivers not to attempt to travel east or west over the Sherburne Pass on U.S. Route 4. The Telegraph will update this as information becomes available.
