Massachusetts man killed in Londonderry crash

A Harvard, Mass., man was killed last night when his car crashed in Londonderry.
Just after 2 a.m., Michael Hazel, 24, was driving a 2008 Subaru Forester on Middletown Road and did not make the sharp turn at Brooks Lane.
According to Vermont State Police the car crossed into the oncoming lane, left the road and struck a large tree with the driver’s side of the car. Hazel died of injuries that resulted from the crash.
A passenger, Peter Duckett, 25, also of Harvard, was injured in the crash and transported to the Springfield Hospital Emergency Room. Duckett’s injuries were not life-threatening. State police report that the weather was fair and the road condition was good. They are continuing to investigate the crash.
