GM girls fall to Woodstock in close contest

Green Mountain started the game off aggressively, with Anne Lamson stealing the ball from the Woodstock girls. But both teams played well with many solid passes, keeping each other on their toes.
The Woodstock girls made lots of long passes and lots of shots, but not before the Chieftains scored a couple more points when Lamson scored with a lay-up.
The GM girls showed off their offensive skills, keeping the Woodstock girls moving and playing hard. Green Mountain’s Paige Karl stole the ball several times, played with aggression and scored a layup.
While ball stealing by Kassidy Cummings helped the GM girls put some points on the scoreboard, the Woodstock girls

stayed close with some impressive shots. In the end, the Woodstock girls prevailed with a last minute layup and a foul shot.
Maya Lewis led Green Mountain in scoring with 11 points including some impressive 3-pointers. Kassidy Cummings and Anne Lamson were not far off Lewis’ pace with 8 points each. The Green Mountain girls went on to win their Thursday night game against Poultney, 48-32.
