Julie Comstock of Chester, a 2011 graduate of Green Mountain Union High School, graduated from York College of Pennsylvania on Dec. 22, 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
She then passed the NCLEX-RN licensing exam, and now begins a year-long Graduate Nurse Residency training program at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Penn. Following her residency, Comstock will move to a full-time nursing position there.
Her family says it is grateful for the scholarship support from the community for Comstock’s education, including Chester Rotary Club, Mason’s Olive Branch Lodge #64, American Legion Auxiliary Chester Post #67, Springfield Lodge No. 1560 Order of Elks, John Butler Scholarship, Chester Academy Scholarship and Henry V. Haber Memorial Sports Scholarship. The Comstock family also appreciates the Town of Chester Recreation Department’s summertime position that helped Comstock, and a notable string of successful college graduates prior to her, financially and to develop leadership skills that have served her well.
