Athens woman, 31, dies in early morning crash

Telegraph logoVermont State Police have reported that 31-year-old Jennifer Stamp of Athens died in car crash on Brookline Road early Sunday morning.

According to a report by Trooper Bryson Lunderville, Stamp’s 2014 Subaru Impreza was traveling south on  Brookline Road just south of the intersection with Miller Road in Athens when the car left the road at a high rate of speed, crashing into an embankment and turning over. Stamp, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was not wearing a seat belt, police say. The weather was clear and the road dry, they added.

The crash, which was reported at about 6:30 a.m., is under investigation by police who encourage anyone who has information regarding the accident to call the Rockingham Barracks at 875-2112.
