Chester Rotary’s Annual Ladd Scholarship fund-raiser set for March 19
Press release | Mar 07, 2016 | Comments 0
In the past seven years, this event has raised funds to provide 41 high school graduates $62,000 in tuition assistance for post-high school education programs. In addition to the one-year scholarship awards, one student is annually selected to receive $1,000 each year for up to four years of education/training.
On the night of March 19, guests will be treated to a buffet dinner with a complementary glass of wine, and an open bar. The restaurant bar will be open for attendees to purchase other drinks. A silent auction will be held throughout the evening featuring items, services and gift certificates donated by local businesses, artisans, Rotarians and other community members. A lively live auction with selected items and a drawing of raffle tickets for large gift baskets will also be held. You can check out some of the items that will be available at AndrewLaddScholarship.weebly.com.
The $25 admission fee includes a buffet dinner and complementary glass of wine. Tickets are available at the Chester Bookworm, 330 Main St., or at the Fullerton Inn, either in advance or at the door, the night of the event.
