Troopers find big game trophy on Route 103, ask public for info

Vermont State Police have found a shoulder mount of an African cape buffalo at a pull-off area on Route 103 in Clarendon this morning.
Troopers from the Rutland Barracks were responding to a complaint of suspicious circumstances at about 9:40 a.m. when they found the mounted head. According to police, it appears that the buffalo trophy was left by the road overnight and they believe it may have been stolen.
