Whiting seeks donations for new ‘Seed Library’
Press release | May 16, 2016 | Comments 0
Chester’s Whiting Library at 117 Main St. is asking the public to help them build a seed library.
The object of the program is to share seeds and to encourage backyard gardening. Visit the library and choose from some free, easy to grow vegetable seeds. Patrons “check-out” seeds, grow, harvest and “return” all in the same season.
Whiting Library hopes to grow the selections and quantity of seed available year by year. Information on growing open pollinated and heritage varieties is available at the library.
