The Chester-Andover Family Center thanks the Chester Post Office staff and its amazing letter carriers for the very successful Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

A total of 1,386 pounds was collected, along with a $10 donation, and provided much-needed food for the continually increasing number of Food Shelf recipients.  A special thank you to each and every letter carrier who supported this very important annual campaign.

Thanks also to everyone in both Chester and Andover who donated food, to Lisai’s Market for plastic collection bags, and Jiffy Mart for doughnuts for the letter carriers. The center is blessed to have ongoing support from both communities.

Thanks also to folks who donated CSA shares from Abundance Acres to our Food Self.  Thanks to the Healthy Harvest Network for purchasing an additional share.  We welcome the donation of surplus produce from family gardens.  Best time to drop off produce is between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

Thrift Shop hours are:  10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays; noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.  Food Shelf hours are 1 to 6 p.m.  on Thursdays; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays for produce pickup. You can reach the center at 908 VT Route 103 South (P. O. Box 302), Chester, VT 05143; call 802-875-3236, email: cafc302@gmail.com, and through its website www.chester-andoverfamilycenter.org.

Sincerely,
Dee Robinson
