The University of Connecticut has graduated one area student recently. She is:

Christina MacKenzie of Bondville

Also, two area residents have made the Dean’s List at the University of Connecticut for the spring 2016 semester. They are:

Madeleine Fulkerson of Bellows Falls and

Jordan Bauer Crowley of Springfield

Christopher Armstrong of Chester was awarded Gold Stars by The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.,  for earning a grade point ratio of 3.7 or higher during the 2016 spring semester, qualifying him for the Dean’s List.

Ryan J. Smith of Weston has been named to the Dean’s List at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass., for Spring semester of 2016. Smith is working toward a degree in sport management. Students are named to the Dean’s List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

Cole Wilhelm of Chester graduated cum laude from Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y., during commencement exercises on Sunday, June 5.
