To the editor: Chase endorses Bock for state House

I am pleased to endorse Tom Bock for the Vermont House of Representatives seat, Windsor District 3-1. (Andover, Baltimore, Chester and parts of North Springfield) that is being vacated on the retirement of Leigh Dakin.

I have known Tom over the past 10 years; and most recently we have served together as members of the Chester Select Board. Tom’s service to our community has had a far-reaching impact of bringing services and stability to our region. In addition, Tom is the current chairman of both the Chester Planning Commission and the Southern Windsor Regional Planning Commission.

Tom and his wife Mariette moved to Vermont in 1971 where they raised their family. He was the manager of Readex Microprint Corp./NewsBank and then started Vermont Ts as a new and successful small business venture.

With his strong leadership background and business experience and his knowledge of the concerns of our community, I believe Tom will represent our interests well in Montpelier. I encourage you all to vote for Tom Bock in the Democratic primary on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016. You may also vote early for Tom prior to Aug. 9 by casting an absentee ballot at your town office.
