To the editor: Volunteers made 250th Celebration a success
The Chester Telegraph | Aug 15, 2016 | Comments 0
We are writing to personally thank all the volunteers and local businesses for their efforts and donations of time, money and services that helped make the Chester VT 250th Celebration a huge success.
It has been truly a pleasure seeing town residents and visitors learning about our history, sharing the great food, music, games and fireworks, seeing old friends, meeting new ones and just appreciating the beauty of our great little town.
None of this would have been possible without the volunteers who gave up a large part of their time– and their families’ time — by dedicating themselves to ensuring that the celebration ran smoothly and its guests had a great experience. The volunteers, and their commitment to our community, show the best things about our town that you simply can’t find anywhere else.
So, on behalf of the entire Chester VT 250th Planning Committee, we want to once again say “thank you” to all who made our historical celebration something special to remember.
We still have plans for additional ways to continue the 250th Celebration throughout this year and will keep the Chester Vermont’s 250th Facebook page up-to-date with details as they are confirmed. If folks have ideas and/or are interested in helping with a future town activity, email us at ChesterVT250@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Chester VT 250th Planning Committee
