The Windham County Natural Resources Conservation District will hold a second public meeting on the now-completed Williams River corridor plan. The meeting was originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, but that time was changed Monday afternoon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
At that time, consultant Evan Fitzgerald will present the plan and its findings and discuss potential future projects for the river corridor. The meeting will be held at the NewsBank Conference Center, 352 Main St. in Chester.
The general public as well as riverfront landowners are invited to ask questions and provide feedback about the plan, which addresses the following branches and reaches: Lower, Middle and Upper Main Stem; Lower and Upper Middle Branch; Andover Branch; Potash and Trout Brooks; South Branch; Lovers Lane Brook; Whitmore Brook; and Trebo Brook. This event is co-hosted by the Chester Conservation Committee.
