To the editor: Thanks to all who helped make Fall Festival a success

Fall Festival had another successful year thanks to the cooperation and support of so many people in our community.

Letter to the editor logo2Visitors enjoyed coming to our beautiful Chester Village to celebrate the arts in our area and enjoy our local musicians.  The vendors were excellent, the food was delicious, and the music kept the Festival upbeat.   The community support from individuals and businesses all helped to make it a great weekend for Chester.

Special thanks to the following:

  • Bill Cole for providing security;
  • Brian Morris and the Last Chance Band, Will Danforth,  Weston Playhouse, Root 7 A Cappella, and Ida Mae Specker and Faith Wood for providing music;
  •  Jiffy Mart for providing coffee;
  •  Heritage Bakery, Killarney Pub, Southern Pie Company, Free Range Restaurant, Fullerton Inn, Inn Victoria, Gail Stewart and Lisa Mobus for providing soups to supplement all that was provided  by Chester Rotarians;
  •   Lisai’s Market for help with soup containers;
  •   Fullerton Inn for the doughnuts and other supplies;
  •  Bret Rugg for managing the website and other promotional pieces;
  •  Michael DeSanto of Misty Valley Books for contribution a portion of the weekend revenues back to Chester Rotary
  •  Interact students from GMUHS for emptying garbage, parking and providing lunch time vendor relief;
  • Chester Telegraph for donating 20 percent of the well-wisher ad revenue back to the Chester Rotary and the advertisers who made that donation possible.

The Rotary Club of Chester thanks all who helped to make Fall Festival a successful weekend for Chester.
