Grafton Select Board to hold hydrology forum Monday, Oct. 10

The Grafton Select Board has called a special meeting for 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10 at the White Church in Grafton to hold a hydrology forum.
Invited participants:
David Deen, chair, House Committee on Fish, Wildlife, and Water; Geoff Goll, vice president, Princeton Hydrology; John Bennett, senior planner, Windham Regional Planning Commission; Billy Coster, director of Planning, Agency of Natural Resources; and a hydrologist from Iberdrola Renewables
Topics to be addressed:
- Brief overview of the Saxtons River watershed;
- Discussion of the current situation at Lowell Mountain;
- Discussion of the relevance of the Lowell Mountain situation to issues related to the Grafton/Windham proposed Industrial Wind Project;
- Discussion of NOAA/National Weather Services’ report of the Grafton 1996 flood and possible relevance to the proposed Wind Project
