Nov. 2 is deadline for registering to vote

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 8 general election is Wednesday Nov. 2 by 5 p.m. Vermont residents can register at their town clerk’s office during regular business hours. By state statute, town clerks are required to be open on the final day of registration from 3 to 5 p.m.

You can also find information on online registration as well as absentee and early voting on the Vermont Secretary of State’s website.

Hours for opening the polls on Nov. 8 vary from town to town, but all polls must stay open until 7 p.m.
