Guns, coins stolen in Cavendish burglary

Sometime between Nov. 4 and this morning, Nov. 14, someone entered a house on Hill Road in Cavendish through an unlocked front door and stole a number of valuables, according to the Vermont State Police.

Police responded to the house at about 10:25 this morning.

Among the items taken were a Savage double-barrel 16-gauge shotgun, an 1800-era flintlock pistol, a Craftsman toolbox with miscellaneous hand tools, 84 Sacagawea dollar coins and approximately $350 in change.
