Regional Planning to hold energy siting seminar

The Southern Windsor County Regional Planning Commission will conduct an information and training session on Act 174 – An Act Relating to Improving the Siting of Energy Projects – on Thursday Dec. 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The session will involve a review of the voluntary enhanced energy planning standards along with recommendations for regional and municipal plans.
The session will be held in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room, top floor of the Springfield Town Offices, 96 Main St., Springfield.
There is no charge for the session and anyone who is interested in energy siting issues is welcome to attend. Municipal officials – including members of select boards, planning commissions, conservation commissions and energy committees as well as town managers and zoning administrators are encouraged to attend.
Southern Windsor County Regional Planning Commission is a compact comprised of Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Ludlow, Reading, Springfield, Weathersfield, West Windsor and Windsor.
