Lone man robs Mascoma Bank in Hartland

A lone man robbed the Hartland branch of Mascoma Savings Bank in Hartland this morning, according to Vermont State Police.The VSP said the robbery occurred around 10:15 a.m. when a man – described as between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 150 to 160 pounds – walked into the Mascoma Savings Bank at the Routes 12 and 5 and demanded money.
Police say the man had a brown mustache and wore a dark blue or black cap with the ear flaps turned down and a black and gray zip-up hooded jacket with an orange interior hood. He was also wearing tan pants and black shoes.
The man did not display any weapon and took an undisclosed amount of cash, leaving on foot and heading southwest.
