Ludlow Rotary hosts Chili Cook-off Oct. 7

The Ludlow Rotary Club is sponsoring its 32nd Annual Chili Cook-off from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7 on Depot Street by the traffic light in Ludlow.

Admission is $15 per person, $5 for kids 12 and under or $35 for a family (two adults and two kids). This includes a sample of each chili plus bread, ice cream and cider.

More than 20 entrants will be competing for the various awards.

Plaques and cash prizes will be awarded in the People’s Choice category.

  • First place — $200
  • Second place — $100
  • Third place — $50

Plaques will be awarded to the chili with the most votes in the Judges’ Choice, Spiciest and Team Spirit categories.

The judges for these awards are Ludlow Town Manager Brendan McNamara, Cavendish Town Manager Richard Chambers and Plymouth Select Board Chair Jay Kullman.
