To the editor: Getting ready for busy session in Montpelier
The Chester Telegraph | Nov 27, 2023 | Comments 0
I hope this letter finds everyone preparing for a busy holiday season. During this time of year as a legislator, there are many meetings preparing for the upcoming legislative session, which will start on Jan. 3, 2024.
To that end, I’ve attended the Springfield Regional Development Corp.’s annual meeting. I have met with the Career Technical Center to discuss a recent study on the funding and governance of career technical education in Vermont.
Springfield Hospital held a legislative representative meeting to discuss their vision, current performance, and future strategic planning. In addition to meeting with key stakeholders I also am fielding constituents calls and emails during the “off season.”
Furthermore, in early December, I will be attending the National Association of Insurance Commissioners National Conference in Florida, representing Vermont, and reporting back to the House Commerce and Economic Development Committee.
I am planning to meet with my constituents on a routine basis throughout the legislative session, so please keep an eye out for those announcements.
In the meantime, please feel free to contact me by email at hchase@leg.state.vt.us or by phone at 802-875-
4663.
Gratefully,
Heather Chase
State Representative
