The second installment in the Rockingham Energy Committee’s Home Energy Forum series will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15 at the Rockingham Free Public Library, 65 Westminster St. in Bellows Falls.

Heat pump experts Harold Elliott, service manager at Cota & Cota in Bellows Falls, and Bruce Courtot, a senior energy consultant with Efficiency Vermont, will discuss types of heat pumps, where they can be used, typical costs and available rebates, as well as answer questions.

Heat pumps can decrease your heating and cooling bills and reduce your carbon footprint. They work when it is cold outside and can be used in most houses, including old ones and those without forced air heat. They are approximately twice as efficient in summer as window air conditioners and allow you to control heating or cooling independently in different rooms.

Contact Rockingham Energy Committee chair Peter Bergstrom at 802-444-1860 or via e-mail if you have questions.
