Chad Hollister Trio comes to Chester Aug. 1

Vermont’s own Chad Hollister takes the stage at the Chester Summer Music Series at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 on the lawn of the Academy Building, 230 Main St., across from the Green.

He has been traversing the United States, China, South Africa and Europe for more than 30 years. The music of the Chad Hollister Trio  is honest and heartfelt and has grit all at the same time. Jeff “Primo” Poremski weaves in and out of Hollister’s rhythmic grooves, vocals and songs while adding that touch of something that is hard to explain. Ben Kogan rounds out the trio on upright bass and vocals.

Please come and enjoy an evening of songs, stories and maybe even a dance or two.

All Summer Music Series concerts are free and open to the public and run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Feel free to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics.

The rain venue is the newly restored Upstairs@Town Hall at 556 Elm St.

The rest of the summer music series includes

  • Aug. 8: Stockwell Brothers (contemporary folk and bluegrass)
