To the editor: Thanks to all for making the Annual Senior Christmas Dinner a success

I  would like to thank everyone who helped with the annual Chester Senior Christmas Dinner on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Chester-Andover Elementary School. Thanks to you, this free event was again a great success. It is truly a labor of love and shows in the smiles and laughter of all the workers and the recipients.

My apologies if I have missed anyone. A big thank you to:  Jack Carroll, Georgia Ethier, Sandy Walker, Ken and Shirley Barrett, Bill and Nancy Lindsay, Derek Suursoo, Doris Westine, my daughter Tina, Chris Meyer and his family, Sharon Baker, Debbie Armstrong, Tabitha Klezos, Sandy Vincent, Nancy Phillips, Tom Anderson, Peggy Cafferty, Pastor Susan Moody, Pastor Daryl Martens, Katheryn Chasse, Eleanor Krieger, Adams Funeral Home  and the ladies of Andover who made all the pies.

Thank you also to the people and businesses who donated and/or cooked the turkeys including Lonnie Lisai at Lisai’s Chester Market, Kate Kibbe-Huntington and Thom Huntington of Country Girl Diner, Michele McDonough Wilcox and Claire Hoser at the Heritage Deli, Sheldon and Francy Ghetler at the Stone Hearth Inn, Nancy and Bret Rugg at the Fullerton Inn, Sarah Vail and Black River Produce for fruit and vegetables.

Thanks also to CAES for allowing the use of the school and kitchen. Last but by no means least thank you Brian Waldo who couldn’t be there but was with us in spirit. We missed you. Get better soon and you only get one year off! To anyone I may have forgotten, thank you. Thank you to all for brightening the town with your Christmas spirit!

This is truly a townwide effort.
