All invited to enter video contest sponsored by Vermont Access Network

The Vermont Access Network  is sponsoring its first-ever statewide video contest. The VAN Video Challenge will run from March 21 through April 1 and is open to all Vermonters. Overall winners will be chosen in each of three categories: up to grade 9, grade 10 through 12, and college/adult.

Video clipartWinners will be notified in late April and will be awarded prizes and receive lunch and a screening of their work during VAN’s annual meeting in May.

Participants can sign up, attend a brief orientation session, and pay the $25 entry fee at their local community media center on March 21. At that time they will receive guidelines, including theme and genre, for their project. They may produce their five-minute movie using the media center’s resources or their own. A list of all Vermont community media centers is available at vermontaccess.net/amo.
